Bologna beat Torino 2-0

Bologna's impressive 10-game undefeated streak came to an end with a defeat to Fiorentina before the international break. In the Monday clash (Tuesday AEDT), Fabbian broke the deadlock for the home side in the 56th minute. Exploiting goalkeeper Luca Gemello's error outside the box, Fabbian calmly slotted the ball in, despite Torino defenders scrambling to cover. Zirkee secured the victory by doubling the lead in added time, propelling Bologna two places up to sixth in the Serie A table.

Torino, despite matching Bologna for extended periods, failed to find the net. A win would have seen them join the exclusive club of teams with 3000 Serie A points, but the defeat leaves them in 12th place. In an earlier encounter, Verona managed a 2-2 draw at home against Lecce, bouncing back twice from being behind.
