Crisis-Hit Bundesliga team fired Christian Gross after just one win so far this season while in their last 16 matches they have drawn up 6 times. On Sunday in a major clean-up drive to get back on track Schalke fired most of its sporting leadership including the coach which was surrounded with controversy, players revolting, and 16th defeat.

Sporting director Jochen Schneider and team coordinator Sascha Riether got the boot as well after the 5-1 loss to Stuttgart and the defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
