Brazil vs Switzerland

Brazil, kept afloat by a 2-0 victory over Serbia in their opening game, will try to seal their spot in the last 16 as they line up against a well-driven Switzerland squad. They will be playing without their charm Neymar, who got hit with an ankle injury during Brazil’s opening fixture and has been sat out for two games. Richarlison amazed everyone against Serbia, grabbing a second-half brace, which upped his scoring to nine goals in seven appearances for Brazil. His second point, a brilliant acrobatic right-footed volley was arguably the goal of the tournament till now.

Switzerland will certainly be motivated by Serbia’s first-half defensive play, which kept Brazil at bay and needed a moment of individual cleverness to break through the impasse. Brazil are ranked number one in the world but seem bereft of any real talent and vision so far.
