Brighton & Hove Albion secures 3-2 win over Everton in Premier League on Sunday

Everton lost 3-2 against Brighton, adding to the pressure on manager Rafael Benitez. Brighton seized the lead in the third minute when midfielder Mac Allister finished a great team play with a first-time shot past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Burn scored the game's second goal in the 21st minute, nodding in Enock Mwepu's flick-on from a free-kick. Everton was given a lifeline four minutes later when Mwepu's tackle on Anthony Gordon resulted in a penalty, but Dominic Calvert-spot Lewin's kick skimmed the crossbar.

After cutting inside from the right and firing a left-footed drive, Gordon drew one back for the hosts in the 53rd minute. With a shot from outside the penalty area in the 71st minute, Mac Allister scored his second goal. Everton's eighth defeat in their previous 12 league games came shortly after they were unable to turn the game around even after Gordon added a second goal.
