Brighton add one more loss to City on their tally

Phil Foden's goal saw to it that Manchester City defeat Brighton 1-0 to take third place on the Premier League points table. They are now four points away from new leaders Manchester United and have a one-game advantage on their hand as well. The 20-year-old midfielder delivered in the time of need proving his worth in front of England coach Gareth Southgate. Taking his tally to 8th in 22 appearances this season. City though squandered many chances to score and take on a win with a bigger margin, one such case was when Substitute Raheem Sterling failed to convert an easy penalty and ended up hitting the crossbar.

Teams also failed to abide by the rules laid down by the British government to minimize contact and reduce hugging amidst rising COVID-19 cases across the league.
