A surprising home win for Brighton & Hove Albion, who were facing Leicester City on the other side on Sunday. The drama-filled night first saw the home side take a lead with a controversial penalty at the 35th minute. Coming back in the second half for more action, Brighton started where they left off with Danny Welbeck extending their advantage at the 50th minute.
While Leicester struggled to get past Brighton, Jamie Vardy did manage to pull one back later after 11 minutes to score his 150th goal for the Foxes in 250 matches. With the win, Brighton is off to a good start in the Premier League this season as they remain fourth on the table but maintain a two-point lead over Man City. A good improvement was seen from the Graham Potter side who were struggling last season in the relegation zone.
