Burnley escaped relegation in Premier League

This battle between Aston Villa and Burnley saw how Mike Jackson’s side got its crucial point, leading them to survival. Thanks to a penalty from Ashley Barnes and the amazing saves by keeping Nick Pope. They made their way to the 17th spot in the table with 35 points. Villa threatened their rivals to open the scoring first. It was Barnes who led Burnley before the interval. 

The visitors didn’t lead for too long as in the 48th minute Buendia from Aston Villa equalized with his goal inside the box. The closing stages of the match were dominated by Villa. Pope had to give his best to keep Danny Ings out, who had previously scored against Burnley in his previous appearances. Villa stands at the 14th spot in the table and has won only 2 of their last 10 Premier League matches.
