Burnley had to settle for a frustrating 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest

After taking the lead, Vincent Kompany's team felt betrayed by a late goal that VAR denied. Nottingham Forest exerted early pressure on the game, but Burnley scored the game's first goal in the 41st minute. Zeki Amdouni took advantage of some solid work by Luca Kolesoho to score an outstanding goal that displayed his finishing prowess. Burnley gained self-assurance and dominated the opening minutes of the second half.

However, Callum Hudson-Odoi's magnificent equaliser in the 61st minute put an end to their momentum. Sander Berge's low cross seemed to have been tapped in by Lyle Foster as Burnley attempted to retake the lead. With seven points from their five games and the draw, Nottingham Forest moved up to eighth position in the Premier League standings. Burnley, however, has just one point after four games and is now in nineteenth position.
