Burnley hopes for Premier League survival with a victory against Southampton

Burney has high hopes of remaining in the Premier League after securing their win over Southampton. On Thursday, they played their first home match after Sean Dyche was fired as the manager. Burney won their fifth league victory this season after defeating Southampton 2-0. The two goals for the winning team were secured by defenders Connor Roberts and Nathan Collins, moving them within one point of safety.

Roberts gave an opening shot in the 12th minute at Turf Moor with his first goal in this season of the Premier League. Further, the lead was doubled by Collins doubled just before it ticked halftime when he headed in Josh Brownhill’s corner. Southampton stands in the 13th place and has won just three of 16 away league games in this Premier League season.
