Burnley secured a huge triumph, drag Everton down

Maxwel Cornet struck and successfully gave Burnley a 3-2 win. Burnley was leading when defender Nathan Collins, shot his first goal for the club. However, he fell behind Richarlison who gave two shots from the penalty before the intermission. The second half saw Jay Rodriguez equalize in the 56th minute. This was before Cornet gave his first goal since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.

With this Burnley stood strong after securing their first win in six games. Shifting Everton to the 17th position. A downhearted Frank Lampard walked heavily off the pitch at full-time. Now, his side has lost six straight away from home in the league. Cornet was energetic, defending yet constantly posing a threat to the rival team, Everton. The Ivorian's efforts were successful with five minutes remaining, thanks to yet another defensive howler.
