Burnley 'wanted it more' than Southampton said Romain Perraud

After a promising kick-off, Clarets struck first in the 12th minute. This dominant first half only got better for the hosts before the interval when Nathan Collins took home and make it 2-0. Perraud said that they were disappointed about the match result. He said that they lost against a team that wanted it more than them.  He continued by saying that in football, when there is no good intensity, when there is no aggression, a loss is normal and that is why they were defeated.

However, he also mentioned that they need to forget about this game and focus on the upcoming one against Brighton. He further stated that Burnley plays to stay in the Premier League. They were aware that their team would begin the game with good intensity, very aggressive. But their championship is not over, they still have to pay for the best position in the league.
