Cameroon and Serbia clash today at Al-Janoub Stadium

Both defeated in their opening game of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Cameroon and Group G opponents Serbia line up for an imperative face-off at Al-Janoub Stadium on Monday. While the Indomitable Lions were put on leash by Switzerland on Thursday afternoon, their European equivalents had to suffer at the hands of pundits' choicest Brazil; beaten 2-0 by the Selecao despite keeping them at bay for an 60 minutes. Both of the teams now stand in front of each other for an almost win-or-lose scenario in Al Wakrah.

However, they handled to hold higher-ranked rivals for the first half of their Group G opener, a 48th-minute shot from Yaounde-born Breel Embolo made all the difference in Cameroon's loss to Switzerland. Resultantly, the West African country are seeking their first win at the World Cup since 2002.
