Cavani now in Valencia: "I hope to leave a good impression"

Valencia are a few hours away from officially confirming one of their big signings of the summer transfer window. It is striker Edinson Cavani, who arrived in Valencia this Monday.

At Manises airport, Cavani stopped to talk to the press before visiting his new club's facilities, having his medical and signing his contract.

"I'm happy to be here. I wanted to return to Spain and I wanted to come back here. Valencia have shown faith in me. One has to go where they are wanted and loved because one lives off people's strength and the club's affection;" he said.

The Uruguayan also admitted that he has spoken for "a while to Gattuso" a few days back so the coach has reportedly already told him what he wants and expects of him.
