In the La Liga match, Celta Vigo finally opened the account for wins by defeating Levante 2-0 on Tuesday at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. In an attempt to record their first win of the season, the Galicians first had Iago Aspas open the score at 66th minute and almost twenty minutes later they doubled their advantage when Brais Mendez found the back of the net successfully.
While Levante could not hold back the determined Celta Vigo, they even missed a chance to convert a penalty and equalize at 71st. With the win they settled into 16th place in the league, easing the pressure on Eduardo Coudet, as the team struggles in the current season. Next Celta would take on Granada at home and then travel to Elche on Sunday meanwhile Levante faces Barcelona at Camp Nou and the face the newly promoted Mallorca.
