Champions League last-16 first leg clash of Atletico Madrid and Chelsea

Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone praised Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea ahead of the Champions League match between the two which will take place in Bucharest after being shifted from Madrid because of travel restrictions in place because of the pandemic. Ever since Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard Blues have won five of their last seven matches while with Paris St Germain he has a great track record of leading the team to the Champions League finale in August last season.

Simeone states Chelsea is a strong club with great players on their side with a great depth on every side be it at goalkeeper, at striker or bench side while the only addition Atletico was able to make this summer was Luis Suarez from Barcelona, who has had a successful campaign with 16 goals in his first season which sees Atletico Madrid at the top of the table this season.
