Manchester City moves ahead in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals as they beat Borussia Monchengladbach in the second leg of their round-of-16 clash on Tuesday. Kevin De Bruyne first put City ahead in the 12th minute itself with a powerful shot. Manchester City was 2-0 against Borussia Monchengladbach in the second leg and on aggregate was 4-0 in their attempt to advance ahead in the competition.
Ilkay Gundogan scored six minutes after Bruyne’s red hotshot as City sealed their place in the next round early on and spent the rest of the time holding Moenchengladbach back who shot just 6 times during the match and only 3 of which found the net. City joins Dortmund, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto and Real Madrid in the winner's list.
