Chelsea advances ahead to semifinals in Champions League

Porto managed to defeat Chelsea by 1-0 in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals match between the two with a beautiful kick by Mehdi Taremi that found itself at the back of Chelsea net but could not advance ahead as Chelsea won on an aggregate score of 2-1 to move ahead to the semifinals. Blues have reached the last four stages for the first time since 2014 and would take on either Real Madrid or Liverpool.

Chelsea had held off Porto well and almost secured a 0-0 finish as well but Taremi's flying kick came in the second-half stoppage time but it wasn't enough to put Portu back in the game. Thomas Tuchel would be returning to the Champions League after his previous team lost to Bayern Munich last season. Blues have upped their game ever since Tuchel took charge in the Premier League as well.
