Chelsea and Inter Milan in the final stages of discussions over Lukaku

Chelsea and Inter Milan have been involved in a discussions over a loan deal involving striker Romelu Lukaku. Both the clubs seem to have stalled the discussion for a while. The Serie A outfits had already agreed to pay Belgian’s salary and Chelsea wanted to offload the player after a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.

The 29-year-old was looking for a reunion with Inter back in December itself. The player joined Chelsea in a club recording-setting deal of £97.5million but over the season he just scored eight goals in 26 Premier League outings and then an injury further limited his appearance. Back in 2019, the former Manchester United man netted 64 goals in 95 appearances and had even helped the side win the 2020-21 title.
