Chelsea-Lyon trade talks, Palmieri on the run

Olympique Lyonnais is reported to have the Chelsea left-back under the third radar which has caused many potential Italian suitors including Napoli to drop out facing tough terms for the player’s trade. The Les Gones seem to be in talks with the Pensioners for a potential transfer worth £15m for Emerson Palmieri. The 27-year-old Brazil international who appeared in the final moments of the team's 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, is likely to end his time at Stamford Bridge after 71 appearances for the team.

Lyon who started their hunt for a new left-back after losing former Chelsea prospect Patrick van Aanholt, have had their eyes on Emerson since the start of the month also following PSG’s Laywin Kurzawa, who was also out of option. With his performances at Euro 2020, Emerson proved his ability to be part of top-flight teams now Lyon is a great choice to lock before the transfer window end.
