Chelsea sale authorized

'The Telegraph' has published a report giving Chelsea fans the news they have all been hoping for. According to the English paper, the Premier League have given the sale of the Blues the green light, and Todd Boehly's Swiss-American consortium will become the new owners of the club.

The sale of Chelsea FC has been at the top of English football's agenda for months. As Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, the club's assets and bank accounts were frozen due to Roman Abramovich, a Putin sympathiser, being the owner of the London club.

The Russian tycoon did not put up much of a fight and decided to begin a search for a new owner prepared to purchase the club.

During the negotiation process, the Premier League did not want to leave any stone unturned but now, it looks as though they have finally given the green light.
