Chelsea's stance on signing a new goalkeeper and defender

Sky Sports reported that Chelsea FC is not planning to sign any new goalkeepers during the next two transfer windows, nor does it intend to acquire any defenders in the upcoming winter transfer window, given its confidence in the current options available within the team.

According to the report, Chelsea's management believes that the three goalkeepers, Robert Sanchez, Philip Jørgensen, and Mike Benders, who is currently on loan at Strasbourg, possess the quality needed to play as the first-choice goalkeeper, with Sanchez continuing to deliver strong performances despite his red card against Manchester United, while Jørgensen is highly regarded within the club, and Benders is impressing with his performances at the French club Strasbourg.

The report also indicated that Chelsea turned down the opportunity to sign goalkeeper Mike Maignan from AC Milan last summer after deciding to rely on the current trio.
