Joining from Paris Saint-Germain, Christopher Nkunku has been part of the RB Leipzig’s squad since the summer of 2019. Over the years, Nkunku has impressed the German side so much so that the team decided to retain him this offseason and both the parties made the extension official with a two-year contract extension. The Bundesliga side did not want to lose the 24-year-old with teams like Chelsea and Manchester United ready to steal the player away.
The 2021-22 Bundesliga player of the season was the key player of the squad that lifted the German Cup in May. He also netted 20 goals with 14 assists in 34 league games as the team finished fourth in the top-flight competition last season.
