In the Ligue 1 fixture Lens midfielder, Jonathan Clauss’ runs rampant to sweep past Troyes with a 4-0 victory. Clauss set up two goals and scored once as Lens won the match to leapfrog over two places into the second spot to be behind leaders Paris St Germain. Lens is 24 points from 13 matches but was seven places behind PSG who are heading to Bordeaux for Saturday's standout fixture.
Troyes has slipped down the table to 15th with 13 points. Striker Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga first fired for Lens in the 14th minute then Wesley Said made that 2-0 in 16 minutes which was set up by the midfielder with a great delivery from the right flank. The goalkeeper Gauthier Gallon worked hard with some great saves but the visitors failed to create a single chance at the other end.
