Cologne welcomed the big crowd at home for the first time since the pandemic with a great fightback and a win past Greuther Furth. Ellyes Skhiri scored a brace and the team won by 3-1 in the end. Marco Meyerhoefer's goal in the first half had handed them a lead when he pushed a goal past goalkeeper Timo Horn leaving the crowd worried with the fear of loss as Cologne could not score even once.
Furth then attempted to make the score 2-0 but Jeremy Dudziak hit the post twice but Cologne had had enough and made a comeback in the second Half with Sebastian Andersson leveling the score and later Skhiri scored twice to hand the team a good lead and help them move to the sixth position on the table.
