CONMEBOL honors Messi with statue after winning the World Cup

CONMEBOL held an event honoring Argentina's victory in the World Cup in Qatar, Monday, in Paraguay, where it took the opportunity to deliver a statue to Lionel Messi.

The South American football organization took the opportunity to clarify that the statue will be placed in the museum alongside those of Pelé and Maradona, something that deserved a brief comment from the PSG forward.

"This is the same, the same. It's spectacular. It's a pleasure to be by their side [Pelé and Maradona]. Thank you very much", he shot, while holding the World Cup trophy he won last December.
