Copa America: Venezuela coach finally decided to stay

Coach, who previously lamented the politicization of his duties and put on the table his exit from office, wrote in a letter to the Venezuelan soccer federation (FVF) that he made public: "I will continue to lead the national team", wrote the 46-year-old.

Dudamel has also taken on social media his intention to continue: "In view of the Qatar World Cup in 2022, know that you can count on Rafael Dudamel as far as football is concerned, to give the best of myself and our players ".

For now, he will prepare Venezuela in the Copa America that will take place in the summer in Brazil.

Just after a friendly game in Spain against Argentina on March 23 (a 3-1 victory), Dudamel had lamented that the national team "is very politicized" and this could damage the environment.
