Courtois in doubt for 'Clàsico' after injury

Thibaut Courtois is injured. The Real Madrid goalkeeper, who played all 90 games against Sweden in the first round of qualifying for Euro 2024, had to leave his country's camp early due to an adductor injury. The Belgian Football Association confirmed.

The goalkeeper is a key player in Carlo Ancelotti's team and one of the best in the world in his role. If he stays out for some time, the Italian coach will have to give some game time to Andriy Lunin, who is dying to play again. He got a few minutes in the Copa del Rey, but never in the big games, when he lost his spot again.

If Courtois' absence is confirmed, the Ukrainian will have to take a step forward as he did in La Liga against Elche and Mallorca, against Al Hilal and Al Ahly in the Club World Cup.
