Danny Ings scored twice for Saints and beat Crystal Palace

Danny Ings returned from injury to score a double for Southampton and lead the Saints to a win past Crystal Palace. At St Mary’s Stadium Southampton beat Crystal Palace by 3-1 and end their five-game winless run. Palace secured a lead early within two minutes when Christian Benteke found the back of the net but could not threaten Southampton anymore as they rallied thereafter with Ings scoring a double after coming back to play having missed two matches due to injury, Fraser Forster also worked hard at denying Luka Milivojevic a penalty.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men came back stronger in the second half and a close-range shot by Che Adams gave them a lead. For Danny it was his 100th goal in professional club football.
