Dayot Upamecano is the new target for Reds

Joe Gomez’s injury places him out of the season and creating more problems for Liverpool after Virgil van Dijk’s injury. Liverpool does not have a lot of options who will be able to replace Gomez as the January transfer closes in. Currently Red has Dayot Upamecano at the top of the list which has three other competitors to take the player's place. Gomez has undergone successful surgery and Is still ruled out for the rest of the season. Leaving Reds in a precarious situation with just Joel Matip as the only senior centre-back at the back and thus a lot more responsibility than before. Jurgen Klopp would target Upamecano, who would be worth £40million. The shortlist also includes Brighton's Ben White as a back up as well as Schalke's Ozan Kabak and Torino's Gleison Bremer.
