Depay forces a draw to save face for Lyon

Memphis Depay scored once for Ligue 1 leaders Lyon and assisted in another to force a 2-2 draw with Rennes and stay one point ahead of Paris Saint-Germain. Rennes was leading for the most part of the match with 2-0 until the Netherlands forward forced a comeback at the 78th minute. Later with just 10 minutes to time, he set up defender Jason Denayer who struck one home for the leaders to maintain their place at the top. Their unbeaten streak stretches to 16 matches. For Rennes two former Lyon players struck against them at the start of the match, Martin Terrier had set up Clement Grenier, who later assisted in Benjamin Bourigeaud’s 54th-minute goal.

Ligue 1 Matchday 19 also saw, Lille defeat Nimes 1-0 with a strike from Burak Yilmaz, who leveled on points with PSG but sit third on the table on the basis of goal difference. Monaco remains fourth after beating Angers 3-0.
