Done deal. Manuel Ugarte will join Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino is on the verge of having his first signing at Chelsea. The sports press ensures that the London club has already reached an agreement with Sporting to hire Manuel Ugarte.

In recent days, the international for Uruguay was appointed to PSG, Barcelona and Chelsea, even ending up accepting the proposal to head to the Premier League and be a teammate of former Benfica Enzo Fernández.

Chelsea will pay 60 million euros for Manuel Ugarte - the value of the termination clause -, in a deal that also provides for the payment of five million euros in goals. With regard to salary, Ugarte, who was at Alvalade for two seasons, will receive around three and a half million euros a year.

With the sale of Ugarte, Sporting will receive 42 million euros for the 70 percent of the pass it holds.
