Dortmund defeated Frankfurt by 2-1

Borussia Dortmund was defeated by their direct rivals Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday and by this, their hopes of holding their in-demand striker Erling Haaland by qualifying for Champion’s League for next season went away. The score for the match stood at 2-1. In the 11th minute, Frankfurt went forward when Nico Schulz of Borussia Dortmund wrong-footed his own team’s keeper with a header. The visitors weren’t given a penalty for a handball by Thomas Delaney.

Dortmund scored at half-time when Mats Hummels turned into the equalizer. After the break, Frankfurt played sharply. Dortmund has still chances of qualifying for the next season’s Champions League and face Manchester City in the quarter-finals. Wolfsburg defeated Cologne by 1-0 and stayed on 54 points and 3rd position.
