Dortmund picked up a victory against Sevilla

Next phase of Champions League started this week after a long winter break and Borussia Dortmund made a comeback despite their consistency issues to break Sevilla by 3-2 with the help of Erling Haaland who ensured Dortmund stay in contention for longer. Their defense still struggled as they conceded twice but 3-2 win places them ahead in the second leg of the tournament.

Sevilla struggled during the night against quick Dortmund players as they created opportunities and maintained formation to come out on top and break an impenetrable defense that hadn’t conceded a single goal in seven matches. Haaland missed out on a hat-trick as he could only convert two of his three chances on goal. In total Dortmund enjoyed 10 chances at the goal despite the best center-back pairings, and Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos on their side.
