Dortmund take a step back from chasing Wojciech Szczesny

Everton is free to chase Wojciech Szczesny after Borussia Dortmund takes a step back from their relentless chase. The Juventus goalkeeper’s £100,000-a-week wages is a bit too heavy for the German giants. The 2013 Champions League finalists are still in search of a good goalkeeper. Roman Burki has been inconsistent and Marwin Hitz hasn’t found glory yet. Dortmund’s 2020-21 season hasn’t been that great and was ridden with individual errors and a horrific defensive record.

Dortmund has been linked with Andre Onana, Alexander Nubel, and Gregor Kobel but Szczesny seems out of their pockets. While Toffees on the other hand is trying to match the player’s demand. Though Everton would not pay more than that since the player started his career with Arsenal.
