Edinson Cavani's thoughts on Cristiano Ronaldo

Edinson Cavani's expresses his honest thoughts on Cristiano Ronaldo prior to the pair's World Cup meeting. Ronaldo and Cavani were colleagues at Manchester United for English Premier League, but the Uruguayan had his reservations about the Portuguese from the moment they joined forces at Old Trafford. Edinson Cavani kind of became aware that his time at Manchester United was ended the moment that the Old Trafford club brought Cristiano Ronaldo onboard last summer.

Uruguay forward Cavani had just scored 17 goals in 39 games in his debut season with United, but he has somehow known that Ronaldo's much-coveted return made his position at the club unreliable and threatened.

"It was more about understanding the situation. Not because I couldn't play in my role at Manchester, but because there are many things in football nowadays that are different from how they were with other people, how it was before, years ago. And since it happened suddenly, I felt nothing," Edinson commented.
