Ekitike and Newcastle agree on a long-term contract

Hugo Ekitike, the 19-year-old striker from Reims has agreed on a 5-year contract with Newcastle United. This young player has a lot of potential and thus Eddie Howe has been eyeing him and would complete a deal for him with Reims in the summer transfer window. It is known that there was a demand for Ekitike from Newcastle right from January.

This season, he has scored 11 goals and 4 assists in the 26 appearances he made in Ligue 1 where Reims finished in the 12th spot. Ekitike made his debut in October 2020 and he became a regular in 2021/22. He also announced himself as a prospect to the whole of Europe. Ekitike is a France U20 international and will be a good addition to the Magpies.
