Elche defeats Sevilla

Barcelona stayed true to their path with a 2-0 win over Osasuna but Sevilla failed to seize an easy win and let their three points walk away in the 2-1 win for Elche on Saturday.

Sevilla slumped to one more loss against Elche as Raul Guti and Guido Carrillo both scored for their side to put Elche ahead at 2-0 and it wasn’t till late when Luuk de Jong added a late consolation goal so Sevilla could make a comeback possible but it couldn’t do so and increase their losing streak to three in just a matter of eight days. Sevilla though enjoys a lead over Elche and sits in fifth place with a 6 points lead over Real Sociedad and Elche stays in 17th and is just two points above the safe zone.
