Elche, Real Betis register their first win in La Liga

Picking up their first win in La Liga, Elche and Real Betis made headway in the 2021/22 season on Monday. Fran Escriba’s side had till now just picked up two points from the three matches before the International break but made a big comeback with the win beating Getafe by 1-0. Elche even extended Getafe’s back-to-back loss record to four as they remain without a win in the season.

Lucas Perez came off the bench to help the team with his first goal for the club and the winner of the match. Real Betis on the other hand pulled off an upset against Granada to win by 2-1 away from home. Rodri Gonzalez’s first goal put the visitor's level on the scoreboard and then Sergio Canales grabbed the late goal.
