Elche secure victory over Cadiz, end the day with 16th on League Table

Elche defeated Cadiz 3-1 at home in order to improve their score after drawing 1-1 in their previous encounter against Osasuna. Elche got off to a flying start, scoring in the 13th minute from Fidel's penalty spot to make it 1-0 at halftime. Tete Morente scored again in the second half, this time in the 75th minute. 

Cádiz, on the other hand, got on the scoreboard in the 90th minute thanks to a goal from Alex. However, they pulled away from the scoreboard in the game, courtesy of a goal by Josan just before the final whistle, winning 3-1. With the loss, Cádiz dropped to eighth place, while Elche moved up to the sixteenth place, three points ahead of Cadiz and the relegation zone.
