England’s Trent Alexander-Arnold injury rules him out of EURO2020

Trent Alexander-Arnold will not be attending EURO 2020 after picking up a thigh injury in England’s 1-0 win against Austria in the closing stage, he picked up the injury while clearing the ball in Wednesday’s friendly match.

England manager Gareth Southgate later shared an update on his injury saying it did not look good as per the scan which was done a day later and the 22-year-old will be sidelined for six weeks thus ruling him out of European Championship. Southgate has not confirmed a replacement for him yet and the England squad will take on Romania in the warm-up fixture. In the group stage of the tournament, England would take on Croatia on 13th June and later host Scotland and the Czech Republic.
