Montenegro took a surprise lead against England, but that appeared to just wake up the away side as the Three Lions scored five goals for the second game in a row as they went on to win 5-1.
Chelsea duo Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi were two of the most exciting performers on the night for England, with the former bagging two goals and an assist. Marko Vesovic had opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Montenegro's hope was quickly evaporated with two England goals before half-time.
The first of those came from Michael Keane, Barkley the 2nd and 3rd. England made it 4-1 through Harry Kane, following some good work in midfield.
Finally Sterling got on the scoresheet himself in the 80th minute.
There were some unsavoury scenes during the game, however, as a handful of England players were on the receiving end of racist chants. The English Football Association will complain about this to UEFA.
