The Spanish Football Federation will not veto Kosovo in the qualifying draw for the 2024 European Football Championship. The draw for the qualifying round of the competition is scheduled for October 9 in Frankfurt.
Spain does not recognize Kosovo, which has led to a small diplomatic conflict. The two teams faced each other in the group stage for the Qatar competition and the games ended up going without problems. The Spaniards just can't be in the same group as Gibraltar.
In addition to this prohibited pairing, Armenia and Azerbaijan will also not be able to be in the same group, due to the political conflict between the two countries over the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Belarus-Ukraine, Kosovo-Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo-Serbia are other pairings banned in the Euro2024 qualifying draw.
Germany, hosts of the competition, and Russia, banned for the invasion of Ukraine, will not be in the draw.
