After finishing third this season Barca is restructuring the squad leaving goalkeeper Neto’s future uncertain at Camp Nou. Brazilian shot-stopper joined Barcelona in 2019 moving within the league from club Valencia as part of the Jasper Cillessen deal. In the two-year’s span, Neto has remained under the shadow of Marc-Andre ter Stegen who was preferred as their undisputed starter in goal.
Thus Neto could rake up just 17 appearances with Barcelona and kept 7 clean sheets and got an extension after Ter Stegen’s knee injury scared Barca. The Brazilian hence pushed to leave the Spanish Giants in January but could not make that happen and now with Everton’s well-known interest, he could join the Premier League side while Barca would have to rely on their academy talents Inaki Pena or Arnau Tenas as the backup.
