Everton eye a La Liga star and consider a lucrative offer to lure him

In the hopes to solidify their squad Everton set their sight on Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo who has been one of the key players in Barcelona’s defense this season. Under Xavi Hernandez Araujo has truly flourished this season and to lure him to Goodison Park, Rafael Benítez would have to offer a very lucrative offer. The 22-year-old centre-back would be out of contract by next season and Barcelona is already negotiating a new deal with the player.

The only hiccup is the player wants a significant pay rise which creates a problem for Barcelona with their ongoing financial crisis and they could very well lose the player with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United also interested in adding the player to their squad. Uruguayan is leveraging the interest he has attracted from the Premier League to ask for a pay raise at Barcelona.
