Chelsea took on Everton in the Premier League fixture despite the fact that a lot of players were ruled out of the squad because of the Covid-19 outbreak that hit a lot of clubs recently. The title-chasers were held to a 1-1 draw as the depleted side conceded late in the match and gave away easy two points on Thursday.
Tuchel's side received the blow before the Everton match when Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, and Callum Hudson-Odoi were the latest players to test positive, Blues were already without Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic, and Kai Havertz. Without most of their key player, Tuchel's side struggled against a tenacious Everton, until Mason Mount gave Blues a chance to win the match at Stamford Bridge but the teenage defender Jarrad Branthwaite denied them a win with his first Everton goal with 16 minutes left on the clock.
