FA Cup: Manchester City booked Wembley return

An early Gabriel Jesus strike was enough for Manchester City to book their place in the FA Cup final as they saw off Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon. People were still finding their seats at Wembley Stadium when Kevin De Bruyne picked out the Brazilian with a stunning cross that he headed into the bottom corner.

Brighton did have a chance to level before the break. Anthony Knockaert's selfishness wound up Glenn Murray after the former shot over the crossbar from an improbable angle. Aymeric Laporte came to City's rescue as he cleared off the line to deny Brighton an equaliser after half-time.

Pep Guardiola's side were able to hold on, despite pressure from their opponents, to seal their return to Wembley where they will meet either Wolverhampton Wanderers or Watford.
