Fiorentina secure the European place with 2-0 win against Roma

Fiorentina needed just 11 minutes to secure an upper hand over Roma on Monday and secure a European place for next season in Serie A. While both the teams have been dealing with inconsistency this season and have been out of form, Fiorentina still turned out to be the better team scoring twice in 11 minutes with help from Nicolas Gonzalez who successfully converted a penalty for the side after being brought down by Rick Karsdorp.

Six minutes after that Roma’s defence failed to hold back Giacomo Bonaventura who buried a shot in the bottom corner to give Fiorentina a 2-0 lead in the match. With the win, Fiorentina ended their winless run of four matches and leapfrogged over Atalanta to climb into seventh place and secure the berth for Europa Conference League.
