Flamengo chief denied the possibility of Vinicius Jr returning to Brazil

Flamengo president Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap), discussed the possibility of Vinicius Jr returning to the club in an interview with Spanish newspaper 'AS'. According to him, the forward is focused on remaining in Europe, and for now, there are no financial conditions to bring a player of Vini's status back to Brazil.

Bap recalled the friendship between Vinicius Jr and Lucas Paqueta, who were teammates in the youth categories and later in Flamengo's senior squad. "They know each other well, share the same agency, and have a strong personal bond," he commented. Despite this, he emphasized that their life stages are different: Paqueta already has family stability in Brazil, while Vini still prioritizes his European career.

Meanwhile, Flamengo observes from a distance, aware of market limitations and the above-mentioned player's priority to remain in European football.
