France: Monaco crashed out of the cup to Ligue 2 Metz

Things aren't getting any easier for Thierry Henry at Monaco and having been defeated 5-1 by Strasbourg at home over the weekend, the Monegasque side have fallen out of the Coupe de France with a 3-1 loss against Ligue 2 leaders Metz.

Newcomer Cesc Fàbregas started the evening on the bench, though he did come on with 70 minutes played with his side already 2-1 behind.

Radamel Falcao scored Monaco's only goal on the night, which came as a first half equaliser, but two strikes between the 62nd and 74th minute saw the result put beyond any doubt.

All of Monaco's efforts will now be focused on survival in Ligue 1, where they currently sit 19th with just 15 points from 21 games.
