Fulham penalty woe helps Everton seal 3-2 win

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored twice to help Everton put an end to its losing streak. With a 3-2 win over Fulham Everton are back in the game and received an advantage when Fulham missed its penalty. Ivan Cavaleiro’s mistake was Everton’s gain his botched attempt at the penalty was a huge boost, he kicked the ball against his other foot and the ball hence looped over the crossbar.

Everton had maintained a good lead but Fulham looked threatening when Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored a goal in the 70th minute and the match looked like it would head to a draw. Calvert-Lewin scored within 42 seconds in the game and once more at the 29th minute which was leveled by Bobby De Cordova-Reid. Abdoulaye Doucoure thereafter stepped up to score his first goal at the 35th minute and Everton seemed confident of their win by the end of the first half.

Elsewhere in Premier League, Sheffield United lost 0-1 to West Ham.
